‘Twas the last night of maternity leave and all through our home
Every person was thinking JoJo I don’t wanna leave you alone (with Dad… Lol)
Mama was packing her bag, hoping to put JoJo in
If she could take her baby to school that would sure be a win!
But Daddy said, no, it was his turn to take care
He promised mom and son he would always be there [to take pictures and give updates every minute]
Mom reflected on her time at home with her baby on leave
She loved it so much and knew tomorrow would be hard
Having many tears on her sleeve.
But isn’t it a blessing she has a kid here at home and kids at school
Who will be, and are anxiously awaiting her return
She’s both a mom and a teacher now… How cool!
She thinks just as her baby needed her all these weeks
Her students now need her! She can already imagine the hugs and excited shrieks!
Thank You Lord, I’ve been a teacher, but now I am a teaching mom.
I pray You help me balance these duties, giving me peace, wisdom, and helping me stay calm.
As You’re calling me to both of these responsibilities, I am reminded You won’t let me fall short in one.
This new season is just beginning, let’s get ready for some fun!!
